I have been a D&W referee since August 2022. Whilst I don’t have a long service as a community referee, I have been officiating rugby at my school of work since 2013, coaching and officiating U14, U16, 2nd XV and 1st XV.
I thoroughly enjoyed officiating the game, especially with the opportunity it provides me to keep in the game after having played as a front row player for several years. I am often tempted to brush off my boots and have a social run out. However, summer touch leagues manage to scratch that itch so far!
I was very honoured to referee at the Rosslyn Park National School 7s in 2024 and hope this is an annual pilgrimage I can keep doing.
