Referee Bio

I moved to Gloucestershire from Hampshire in 1997 with intention of still playing but, when I found out that the ball was an optional extra in Gloucestershire and having just turned 35, I decided that playing was no longer an option and decided to give refereeing a go. When I returned to Hampshire in 2003, I joined the Hampshire society for a few years but, as I live on the Hampshire/Wiltshire border and my son started playing at Salisbury, I joined D&W. I hung my whistle up in 2020 but, realising that something was missing on a Saturday, decided to give assessing and coaching a go in the 2024/25 season.

Back to Referees

We are a forward thinking Society and are actively looking to increase the number of referees available to cover the games throughout the Counties and support new referees to accomplish the highest standard possible at whichever grade they reach.
